Workshops Call for Position Papers

Closed: All workshops are filled

CHI 2006 is offering a smorgasbord of carefully chosen workshops for the first two days of the conference (April 22-23). Workshops build, define, and refine community. Like the notion of community itself, some are more focused and targeted, while others are more freewheeling and loose. Some hit directly on hot topics in CHI right now, while others focus on the future. Some propose to develop more familiar CHI themes, while others range out into new communities and ways of thinking. They are a chance for like-minded people to discuss an emerging area of CHI concern - or for people with opposing perspectives to engage in constructive interaction.

You apply to participate in a workshop by submitting a position paper to the workshop organizers; the set of position papers will be evaluated to find participants with appropriate expertise and a range of perspectives.

Note: Each workshop has its own form of application, specified in its own call for participation available at the link below. Workshops are an open-ended part of CHI, and organizers are ultimately responsible for attendance and organization of their workshops.
